Cultivation Specialist

Arevo is advancing sustainable plant nutrition for the agricultural sector. Our portfolio features eco-friendly biostimulants and organo-mineral-based plant nutrition. Our mission is to develop solutions that positively impact our soils, crops, and health—without causing harm to the environment.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated grower to support our greenhouse staff. 

Key activities

  • Plant care and maintainance of greenhouse. Pest and disease management through integrated pest management practices.
  • Prepare and manage soil and growing media, apply appropriate fertilizers or biostimulants based on plant requirements or trial outlines.
  • Monitor plant growth and quality through regular inspections for stress or disease symptoms.
  • Set up plant trials to test product efficacy. Execute plant assessments, collect data and present findings.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Horticulture, Agricultural Science, Plant Biology, or a related field. Alternatively, a vocational diploma or certification in greenhouse management, agriculture, or horticulture is sufficient, especially with hands-on experience.
  • Experience in plant cultivation: Hands-on experience working in a greenhouse or similar controlled environment, ideally with experience in managing plant growth, monitoring conditions, and optimizing yield.
  • Experience in growing various crops (e.g., vegetables, flowers, or herbs) and understanding the specific needs of different plant species is valuable.
  • Knowledge of growing techniques: Understanding of modern growing methods, especially if working in non-soil systems.
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems, climate control systems, and soil/nutrient management techniques for optimizing plant health and productivity.
  • Attention to Detail & Organizational Skills: Strong observational skills to monitor plant health, recognize early signs of issues, and take corrective actions. Ability to maintain accurate records of plant growth, environmental conditions, and harvesting schedules.
  • Experience with Efficacy Tests & Plant Nutrition: Experience conducting efficacy tests to evaluate the effectiveness of different products or treatments (e.g., plant nutrition, biostimulants, growth enhancers) on plant growth.
  • Fluent in English.
