Lab Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lab Technician that will support Arevo in both research and development activities.

Key activities

• Performing routine chemical analysis such as conducting nutrient analysis, and other compound quantification in biological samples (e.g., plant extracts, soil, etc.).
• Measuring chemical properties such as pH, electrical condictivity, density, solubility or viscosity.
• Documenting & reporting experimental data. Maintaining accurate lab records, compiling test results, and collaborating with scientists to interpret findings for formulation improvement.
  

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or similar.
• A degree in laboratory technology or a certification in chemical analysis could be an added advantage.
• Experience in conducting routine chemical tests and familiarity with analytical techniques as well as proficiency with laboratory equipment is required.
• Knowledge of biological sample handling (e.g., plant tissues, soil samples) and related laboratory processes.
• Ability to prepare chemical solutions, handle reagents, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative tests. 
• Ability to collaborate with scientists, researchers, and colleagues within the R&D team.
• Ability to self-organize in lab environments, take detailed and accurate notes during experimental work, and maintain well-documented records for reproducibility and reporting.
• Strong communication skills to report findings, assist with product development, and support project timelines.

• Fluent in English.
