Metsuritrio tests arGrow - If I had my own forest, I would use it

Anna and Ella Hautaviita are young loggers who share their experiences of working in the forest on the popular Instagram account Metsuritrio. They share how they got into the industry, how their successful account started and how they came into contact with Arevo arGrow. Their own tests with arGrow have started promisingly. The seedlings planted with arGrow in the spring already seemed more robust than the control seedlings the following fall.

An obvious career choice

The forestry profession is not very common among women, but for Anna and Ella Hautaviita it was a natural choice, as they both grew up with a father who works in forestry. Ella says that forestry became a career during her gap year after high school. Anna, on the other hand, took a slight detour through the healthcare industry before ending up in the forest. A phone call to her father led her – literally – into the forest the next morning.

– At first I didn’t know anything. The chain kept getting stuck, it was so hot and there were lots of gnats… It was hard, but then I found the spark – this is amazing!

Loggers on social media

Anna and Ella started sharing their forestry work on Snapchat, but their friends encouraged them to post on Instagram too. They started the account in 2019, thinking that maybe only their friends and a few others would follow them. Today they have tens of thousands of followers.

With increased popularity, Metsuritrio has also received requests for commercial collaborations, which led them to Arevo arGrow. Anna and Ella emphasize that they need to be able to stand behind the products they promote, so before going ahead with the collaboration, they asked their dad for his opinion.

– Dad said that he had read articles about the product and that it seemed promising. With his encouragement, we also dared to test it,” says Ella.

“Down with the plants and forward!”

Anna and Ella’s practical tests with arGrow began in April last year, when a shipment arrived from Umeå to their home in Satakunta. According to them, it was easy to get started.

– “We tested at home that granules came out of the bottle. Then we just had to put the plants in the bag and go!” Ella remembers.

They have noticed that arGrow has started to spread among forest owners as many of their followers have shared positive experiences. Even their own trials with precision nutrition have been promising. The seedlings they planted in spring and inspected in September already felt and looked stronger and more robust.

– If I had my own forest, I would use it. For example, in fertile soil, the plants can compete with the grass more easily with the help of precision nutrition,” says Anna.

-“I would probably plant one area with and one area without precision nutrition. Then you can see the difference for yourself and confirm how well the product works,” adds Ella.
